Add (or change to) the extension ".mbox" if it's not there. Control-click
(right-click) one of these .mbox files - which may now be displaying the
gigantic postbox icon for Mail.app - select "Get Info". In "Opens With",
select Microsoft Entourage, then click the "Change All" button. Now all
..mbox files should display an Entourage icon and should open up in Entourage
as folders when dragged, double-clicked, or imported. If they don't, then
they weren't proper MBOX files to begin with.
I'm aware that DbxConv on Windows is supposed to make MBOX files out of OE
Windows .dbx files, but it may be that they're not authentic. Entourage does
not care which type of line endings are used, so that's not the problem. If
you continue to have problems, instead import your OE folders into Eudora
Windows (or Netscape/Mozilla/Firefox - I'm told that works too), find the
mail folders (they're /mbx in Eudora, something else in Mozilla), change the
extension to .mbox, and bring them over. You ca find details in the ReadMe
to my scripts ""Export-Import Entourage" available at

You don't have to buy the scripts - just follow the instructions.
