Can't install Office 2000 SP3 on Windows XP machine

I just re-installed Office 2000 on my Windows XP machine. Next, I
installed SR1A via Office Update without any problem. Now, I fired up
Office Update again, this time, choose to install SP3. To my
frustration, all I get was the following dialog:

I have tried to clear the cache, disabled popup blocking software, but
nothing seem to work. All I saw is that blank dialog (which was
really an IE window.)

My system: Windows XP home, IE 6 (with all the latest updates.) Would
someone please help? I really appreciate it. Thank you.

Thanks David,
I thought of that and ran SpyBot, which removes many. It still did
not work after that.

There are specific hijack bots that attack some of the ms update sites.
Youve tried deleting all temp files and the IE history cookies etc

Again,
I did all of your suggestions, plus checking for spywares using
McAfee's software. It still does not work. Weird.

This action is certainly as a result of spyware on yr sys
A google search for 'Hijack + Office Update' will show many hits
