Can't install OneNote Mobile 2007 on WM5

I

IviBer

I've just installed Office and OneNote 2007 on Windows XP. I used to
synchronize OneNote 2003 to my HTC p4350 WM5 phone, but got problems with ON
2007.

ActiveSync 4.5 is working fine and I sync my calendars to Outlook with
USB-conection every day.

When I go to the tool menu-->options-->oneNote Mobile the install button
"Install OneNote Mobile" is inactive (grey).

Any solution for this problem?

Not to be rude but are you sure that you are running Windows Mobile 5?
OneNote Mobile doesn't support PPC on Windows Mobile 2003, just Smartphone.
For WM5 & WM6 OneNote Mobile is fully supported.

Otherwise some other thoughts:
1) please cradle your phone and then open OneNote and go into the
Tools-->Options and see if that install OneNote Mobile button is still
disabled

2) Look for OneNoteMobile.CAB in this folder: %programfiles%\microsoft
office\Office12\1033\
Do you see it in there? If you are running anything other than English as
your default language look for another language folder (1033 == English).

3) If you don't see that file please go into the OneNote/Office setup and
make sure OneNote Mobile was set to install on your machine.

I have the same problem, and I don't have any OneNoteMobile.CAB file on my
PC. I have the norwegian version of OneNote, and as others have found out,
there is no OneNoteMobile.CAB in the norwegian version of OneNote 2007.

However, if you can get to an english OneNote installation somewhere, you'll
find the CAB-file there, and that one can be installed on your mobile device
and later synched with the norwegian version of OneNote. Maybe Microsoft
should provide an optional download of the english version of
OneNoteMobile.CAB for people with OneNote 2007 in languages where the mobile
version is missing?
