Can't install Outlook 2007

I just installed Office Professional 2007 but I can't install Outlook 2007.
The Outlook 97 version keeps popping up. How do I get rid of it. Also,
Office 978 is still showing up in my list of active programs in my Control
Panel. How do I get rid of it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Uninstall any prior Outlook version then run setup again and make Outlook available.
