Can't install Pub2002; error 1305 'cant read mspub.pub

I got a new computer w/XP. I'm trying to install Pub2002
but about 1 minute into install get error message 1305
and
"Can't read files\windows\shellnew\mspub.pub.

I've cleaned the disk and tried to reinstall numerous
times. I've never Any tips? THANKS!

did you by any chance discover how to fix this problem?
I keep getting the error message 1304 after uninstalling
and reinstalling xp pub 2002
it asks if I have access to MSCONV97.DLL
the file is on my computer so I don't get why it isn't
allowing access to it.
