Can't install two different "packaged" Access applications

W

waynemb

I have two completely different applications developed and packaged with
Access Developers Extensions. When I try to install the second one, Windows
always always objects and says I already have another version of this program
installed, and that I have to "remove" or "configure" the prior version
before installation.

If I uninstall the first application then Windows will let me install the
second, but then objects when I try to install the first again.

Anybody know some way around this bug?

I have installed multiple apps on the same PC without probem.

Is it possible that you are using the same application name for both apps
within the Package Wizard? That would cause what you decribe.

No, they have different names throughout.

But have you installed multiple apps, each packaged with and using the
Access runtime package - that seems to be Wayne's problem, and I can
see why it might be one.
