can't link a document in the project server 2003 PWA

i just want to link a document to the specific project, when i select
the task and click "link documents", the windows pops up said: " You
have logged on using your project server account, project server
accounts are not automatically given access to documents, risk
.....blablabla"

i googled the solution for this issue, some guy said you must use
windows authentication user to get this access, ok, i go to "admin" and

change my account to use windows authentication, user account:
testsrv2\jeffh, username: jeffh

At the same time, i created a windows administrator user on the server
named "jeffh".

Now i want to use this account to log into the project web access
interface, failed!

i couldn't understand since the project user authentication methods is
the only way to log into the pwa, why microsoft put "Windows
Authentication, using the Windows User Account " on it.

Any one has the same experience could give me some idea, i was stuck in

this project server project almost 1 weeks and really got nuts.

Thanks a million!

jeffhan,

generally there are two ways to connect to Project Server, using either
Project Server authentification or Windows authentification. However
SharePoint only works with Windows authentification.

Log on to PWA again to go to the Admin section where you click "Manage users
and groups" and then "add user". Type in the credentials for your windows
account including domain. After this the logon to Project Server should not
be a problem anymore plus you will be able to use the documents, risks and
issues feature of SharePoint.

Jeffhan:

If you make a change like this after the SharePoint site has been created,
you'll need to run the synchronization routine from the SharePoint
administration within Project. Your new user credentials must be assigned to
a task in the subject project or be a Project Server administrator.
