I wrote a small Access 2000 application and it runs fine as an MDB file .
When I went to TOOLS | DATABASE UTILITIES and click on MAKE MDE FILE a
screen titled "SAVE MDE AS" comes up allowing me to select a location for
the MDE file , no matter where I try to save the MDE , I get an error
message saying " Microsoft Access was unable to create an MDE DATABASE".
There is no indicication as to why Access can't make the file.
Anyone got an idea.

PS I routinely make MDE files from other Access programs and they all work
okay.
