Can't manage and import my tasks to outlook

PLS help When i make a task in project proffesional 2003 and then enter in
PWA i can only see the task but not manage it,i mean i can't enter the
progress or enything else it's like locked,and i can't import it to my
outlook calendar I've installed the outlook addin but it says "no new
assignments to update" but i see in the PWA that i've got 1 new task!!!

Stefan --

You must update the new task request to your project manager, who will then
need to approve the new task. Once he/she does this, you will be able to
enter actuals against the new task and import it into Outlook. Hope this
helps.

Thanks Dale,I might sound stuped but can you navigate me how to do this I'm

Believe me, you don't sound stupid. You are only inexperienced with Project
Server and I applaud your courage in asking these questions.

When you create a new task in the PWA timesheet, you must click the Update
All button on your View My Tasks page in PWA to send this new task request
to your project manager. The project manager will see this new task request
on his/her Updates page in PWA. He/she needs to set the Accept? value for
your new task request to Accept and then click the Update button to "push"
your new task into the Microsoft Project plan. He/she also needs to
sequence the new task properly in the project plan and link the task to any
dependent tasks. He/she may also need to adjust the Duration or Work values
on the task. Finally, your project manager needs to click Collaborate -
Publish - All Information in Microsoft Project to "push" the latest task
information back to PWA, including unlocking the new task on your timesheet.

Thanks a lot Dale,I've figured it out but I still can't import my tasks into
the Outlook's calendarit says:"You don't have any assignments to update!"
although I'm assigned to a task to a taskhow can I make it appear in my
Outlook calendar.Oh and one more thing if i'm the project manager and i want
to send a task to all my resources assigned to my projectshould I do
something different so they can report these tasks to me??

Click Collaborate - Publish - All Information or Collaborate - Publish - New
and Changed Assignments to send task assignments to team members assigned to
tasks in a project. Hope this helps.

Thanks Dale,
I've found that,but I still can'import my tasks into Outlook should I set
some permissions in my Project DB so i can acces them from Outlook or what???

Are the tasks actually appearing on your Tasks page in Project Web Access?

Yes Dale they appear in the task page in my PWA,Ican manage them as entering
the act. working hours and remaining work but I can't import them into my
outlook calendar when I try to it says:You have no new assignments to update
