Can't open a Power Point file

I cannot open a PowerPoint file. The error message I get
is "PowerPoint cannot open the type of file
represented..."

Please tell us what version of PowerPoint you are using and what version the
file was created in. It makes a difference and will determine what answer
we provide you.
