Says the 2002/XP db is corrupt when I try and open it in access 2003 but
opens fine with access 2002????

Nope, tried that. In order to import objects you have to enter the database
to obtain access to the objects. So it's essentially the same error msg.

I suspect it's a Jet problem (wouldn;t theat be weird?). I'm currwently
trying to convert the 2002 db to 2000 in Office 2002, then try opening the
2000 in 2003. If that makes sense.

I'm not sure I understand your problem here. Simply open the new, blank 2003
database and select File > Get External Data > Import. Are you saying you
get an error when you select the 2002 database?

Try creating a blank, new 2003 database, set the references to match the 2002
and then import the objects. I had a 2000/2002 similar situation and the
reference step fixed it.

My God! All I had to do was in Tools - Options change the default type of
Database from 2000 to 2002-2003. This should be a little more intuitive
don't you think?

Thanks for the help and thoughts folks. Cheers!
