can't open any word documents.

I have Word 2000 installed and for some reason none of my Word documents will
open anymore. I now get this error message" Winword has caused an error in
OLE32.DLL Winword will now close." I have removed Word from my computer and
re-installed it but I still get the same problem. Help?

Checked those sites and couldn't find anything relating directly to my error
message.
