Can't open attachements

I can't open most of my attachments all of a sudden. QuickTime attachments
open but none of the others do. The attachment is gray and it won't open
when you click it. The only change to my computer recently has been some
windows xp updates. Any ideas? John

Better posted to an Outlook Express group.

With those new windows updates came a new security update which disables for
security (viruses, etc...) reasons the users ability to open attachments.
To correct this you can go to "Tools" Menu -> "Options" Menu -> "Security"
tab then uncheck "Do not allow attachments to" yadaa yadaa.
