can't open attachments in Outlook or Outlook Express

I have family members who are sending me attachments and outlook is not
allowing me to opening the files. I have Office XP Pro and my email provider
is Comcast. Can anyone tell me if I need to download a service pack for
Office XP or uninstall and re-install? Should I contact Comcast to see if it
is a problem on their end? Let me know Thanks in advance

Are you talking about PowerPoint attachments? If that's the case, then
you're in the right place. If that's not the case, then you need an Outlook
and/or Outlook Express newsgroup.

Please clarify for us.
