Can't open columns

Hoping someone can give some help. Working with fairly
large spreadsheets with multiple sheets. I often start
with a large file (1st sheet) and then break down the
information into other sheets using move/copy.

What I am finding with some of the sheets is that Col A
and sometimes Columns A&B are hidden. The cursor can
move to the column and I can see the information in the
text box, but I can not use unhide or autofit to open up
or expand the column. Any thoughts?

Chris, try this:

Press Ctrl+A
Format > Column > Width
Enter a value such as 8.43 (Excel's default)
OK
