Can't open document

I have a document that when I try to open I get error
saying "Microsoft Word has encountered a problem and
needs to close. When I click on more info it shows Error
signature. I can open any other document without a
problem except this one, and I have about 40 other docs.I
am using Micosoft Office Premium 2000. I would
appreciate any help as this is a book I am writing. Thank
you
