Can't open documents in Word 2007 after Beta 2 Tech. Refresh.

I downloaded the new MS Office 2007 Beta. Everything was working fine, until
I downloaded the Beta 2 Technical Refresh. Now I cannot open any documents
in Word. I can still open the program and create new documents, but I cannot
open them later once I close them. MS online tech support could offer no
answers. Is anyone else experiencing the same issues?

If you are using Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, try disabling the
Office Plugin that comes with it (but don't disable Norton

I am experiencing the same problem you are. I can create documents in Word
but after I close the program I cannot view the documents. Does anybody have
a solution for this?

I was just blocked out of all my documents this weekend after several months
of use. Thanks for the update that should have been included in MS files.

Thank you for your help; this fixed the problem for me (to disable the
Antivirus Office Plug-in, go into "Miscellaneous" under the Antivirus
Options).

Having had the same problem and only after the technical update, I'm
wondering why this didin't happen with the original beta release? Anyway,
it's fixed now thanks to this thread
