can't open new created file

Hi
I cannot open a newly created Word document after I save it. I get the message, " the document, XYZ is not available". In addition, I can't open a Wizard...I just get a blank screen. I tried the 'repair' function but that does not help either. Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you.

Disable the Office Plug-in in Norton AntiVirus.
