can't open outlook?

Hi all,

Can someone tell me why sometimes when I click "send/receive", it shows a
box saying "The operation failed". I then have to reboot the computer in
order to fix it. Any idea what is causing this. I have Outlook 2002.

it's a mail server. when the errors occurs with Exchange, it can mean a
corrupt address book. When it happens without exchange, it can be a corrupt
address book or a corrupt *.srs file.... so start by deleting the *.srs file
at C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook.
