Hi JoAnn:
Well, there are three red tabs. Two are on a seal on the right hand side of
the box, and it (they) peel(s) off easily. The third red tab is on the top of
the box, and you grab it to swing the box open. The clear seal has no tabs
and doesn't peel -- I wish it did! It covers the top of the box and laps down
on both sides. It covers (and secures) a "Microsoft Certificate of
Authenticity", but also glues the whole top of the box shut so it's
impossible to open without cutting along the seams in the box. This is
confusing because there is no indication of what to do about it, or that it's
even there. It's a circular piece of clear (vinyl?) plastic 3" in diameter,
and very difficult to peel even after it's cut. Maybe your box doesn't have
one!
My guess is that this seal was added only for certain distribution channels
or only later in the production cycle, since it totally defeats the design.
Someone should tell someone that there's a problem out here at the end of the
retail chain...
Happy trails,
Stuart
