Can't open web page after rightclicking a link; opens a blank page

I can no longer open a webpage after right-clicking on a link, to open it in
a New Window. It just open a blank webpage, but with nothing in it.
This also happens when I click a link from within Outlook Express (although
I normally copy and paste the link, just to be safe). So, every time now, I
have to copy and paste the link, after the blank window has opened (annoying),
This has only just started to happen in the last few days.
Although I have installed a new product (Camtasia & SnagIt), I would not
expect them to cause this. I have checked to see if I have a mallware or
virus and it came up no, so does anyone have an answer, or are suffering the
same problem?

UPDATE
Hi Bob,
I tried what you suggested after talking to Dell support, but it didn't work.
I then had to restore my PC to 3days earlier, to a system checkpoint.
Now in the following days after the 4th, I had loaded up ImpactPlus 5
software, and also removed some trials of screen capture software. So, in all
likelihood one of these is the culprit, so it will be a case of loading the
software first and trying to unload the trials all one at a time, unless of
course I just leave them there.
But I still have not idea what was the cause. Do you have any suggestions?

Yes it would seem that your software experimenting is responsible for
the broken pieces. I think I would resort to rolling back to the
beginning and see where the malfunction occurred also.
