Can't open word doc's

I have Word 2002 and I can't open documents by double
clicking or by right click selecting open. I can open
them by opening Word from Start and clicking file and
open and selecting file from there. Can anyone help?

While the headings in the document talk about error messages (you don't
say if you're getting any messages) the process of re-registering Word
usually clears up these problems.

You may want to spend some time wandering around the rest of the MVPS
site, lots of useful information there that pretty well addresses most
of the problems encountered with the application.
