I can create word docs but can not open them. Help!!!!

where are you saving them?

It does not matter where I save them. I cant open them. I always get an error
message "file not available". even word attachments to an e-mail can not be
opened.

It does matter where you save them. Are you saving them to your local HDD or
where? Even documents attached to an email should be saved to your local HDD
before you can open and edit them.

docs saved to "c/my documents" or my flash drive. still getting the same
messege "file not available". I can create word documents and make any
changes i want but if I save it to my pc I cant open it. If I save it to my
memory stick I can not open the document but if I take it to another computer
it opens right away.

Do you have Norton Anti Virus? If so, try disabling the Office plug-in that
it installs (but don't disable NAV itself -- just the Office plug-in). For
