Can't open Word

We use Microsoft Office 2000. All of a sudden we can't
open "Word". Screen freezes, eventually we get error
message "Error 06:0000:0000315F". Anybody know what this
means and how to overcome it? We have tried uninstalling
OFfice completely and re-installing, that doesn't work. We
suspect the problem is with Windows ME, not Office, but
not sure. Excel works fine, problem only with Word.

I am having the same problem and I have Windows Me also. However, I can't open any of my Office programs or repair them with my disk

This problems seems to be affecting a lot of people

There are several reasons for receiving errors starting Word. This

Start with the article and if you still encounter the error please
include the patch level for Word and any additional details you think
would be helpful.
