Is there a way to paste more than 255 characters in Excel 2000?

No there is not. 255 characters is a limitation of Excel. No more than 255
in a cell.

Hi Jeff,
Tony is not quite right. 255 is the max column width. Try formatting the
cell with "Wrap Text" on the Format|Cell|Alignment dialog.

32,767 characters. Only 1,024 display in a cell; all 32,767 display in
the formula bar.

According to the online help for Excel 2000, the limit is 32K characters.

It should work fine, up through 32K characters, although only 1024 may
display. What problem are you having?
