Can't print pictures correctly

I am unable to print pictures in Microsoft Word correctly. I am using 4x6 photo paper with two to a page. I downloaded a template from Avery's website. I insert the picture and it looks good. The print preview looks correct too, however, when it prints, the pictures come out "off". They come out like an inch or so higher then where they are supposed to print. I'm sure I could mess with the margins and whatnot, but was checking to see if there were other options.

If you are using Word just to dump a picture in to, and then print the
picture to nice paper, then use some kind of graphics program instead. I
don't use any of Microsoft's free stuff, but I know that they ship some basic
graphics software with the operating system.

Yes, I just want to print my pictures on photo paper. As far as the graphics programs, do you mean something like Adobe Photoshop? Is using the template just not a good idea?

Yes, like Photoshop. I simply see no need to introduce Word into the
equation.
