Can't publish my web page since installing SP 2 for windows XP.

I am using Front Page 2002 on a WindowsXP SP 2 Professional system. Since I
installed SP 2 I have been unable to publish my web page. Front Page pops up
the screen to log into my web page and after entering my password it pops up
again as if I didn't enter anything. When I hit cancel in that window, I get
the message "A web does not exist at http://my web site. Would you like
FrontPage to create web at that location?" The data is on the site. What is
wrong here? Has anyone else had similar problems? Is there a fix? Thanks for
any help.

Try disabling the Windows Firewall.

I have the firewall disabled but when I bring up Control Panel and go to
Security Settings it shows that it is still on. I have rebooted to see if
that made a difference but the settings says it is off and the security
window says it is on. I still have the problem of not being able to publish
my web page.

Instead of disabling it try adding FP as an allowable exception in Windows Firewall (Exceptions)

I re-enabled the firewall and added front page to the exceptions list and I
still have the same problem. Are there any patches for XP SP2 or Front Page
to deal with this?

No patches, as it is not a widespread issue.
