Can't publish to web site

Hi, I a newbie to W3K and FrontPage.

I have setup a web site and place F/P extentions on it and I can't publish
to the site as a regular user.

My id and password are in the users group on the W3K server. When I try to
publishe I'm geting a boxed message with several options the main one is
that it's saying that frontpage extentions might not be installed with share
point services by I know that it is because I see the F/P directory and
folders in the website.

I've been at this for 2 days now and can't figure out what's wrong and I'm
pulling my hair out. Can some one help.

Thanks.

I installed, re-installed, uninstalled, re-installed front page extensions
numerous times and was unable to publish. Front Page experts kept telling me
it was cause they were not installed, Host denied the problem existed and
swore the extensions were on thru their control panel, still could not
publish, for awhile I couldn't even log in thru FP.

what worked for me was deleting ALL existing directories and re publishing
all the site.
As you are sharing with others I don't know this is possible.

Does your Isp have anyone else who has successfully published a FP website?
Is so, then its not a simple issue of the server not being setup right. If
not, then the webmaster/server administrator has some work to do. Setting
up IIS with Frontpage extensions and the right security settings is
apparently abit tricky.

When all is said and done. Sometimes deleting everything waiting an hour so
your stomach settles down and then starting from scratch is the only way to
do it. Hope Kat's story helped.
