cant' re-install office 2003. won't recognize my product key

wiped hard-drive on my sony laptop. can't re-install office 2003. won't
accept my product key, which i found on back of my computer.

The office product key is *not* on the computer. It is on the disk or jewel
case the office cd came in, or on the paperwork you have.

If it is OEM pre-loaded office, you'll need to contact the vendor who sold
you the computer.
