Can't read *.ppt

S

Sazie

I use Microsoft and have the Powerpoint 97 reader. I was sent a powerpoint
presentation from someone using a Mac ending in .ppt but it won't let me read
it. Most of the ones I receive end in .pps. Can anyone help me?

Thanks!!

Sometimes when Mac files are emailed, they get compressed in a way that
makes them hard for PCs to open. I have received Word and PowerPoint files
that end with the correct extension but are really compressed files. You
might try downloading Stuffit Expander and running the file through it.
That should decompress the file if it is compressed, and then it might
open. Note that the .ppt vs. .pps shouldn't make any difference with the
PowerPoint Viewer.
