Anyone willing to help will probably want/need to know what exactly happens
when you try to receive and whether or not you get any error messages...

I just came across the same problem with a receive error message. It seems
as though someone sent me a file with an error or defective attachment that
could not be sent from my ISP. That prevented any subsequent email from
being received. See if you can log directly in to your ISP to check messages
and if so, delete the next one in line. You will find if you can't do
anything with that message, that is your problem.

i don't get an error message when trying to recieve. it goes through it as if
nothing is wrong and i don't have any incoming mail. but i do. i have a
different incoming server than outgoing server. i think the incoming server
is the problem. but i don't ever get an error message.

Check your mail server settings and make sure it's set to
"smtp.mail.lycos.com" and not "smpt.mail.lycos.com".

It's SMTP, like Send Mail To People
