Can't remove date from interval

I am using Visio 2003. I want to create a timeline with
intervals as I did in Visio 2000. The timeline is
cylindrical, with cylindrical intervals. In Visio 2000, I
was able to just have text in the intervals. In Visio
2003, I have dates and text. I cannot get rid of the
dates showing up. How do I do this?

I was able to edit the interval colors (thank you!) from
the previous post, but I still cannot edit the dates - no
matter if I deselect all protection for the date, I still
cannot delete it. When I select the date, GROUP is
indicated, so it is already ungrouped. Need more
assistance please!

Thanks

thanks for all the help! I was able to find someone here
in the office to customize my templates and shapes so I
can have the intervals look the way I want them to.
Basically, he opened the Shapes window, took the Timeline
Shapes window and did a Save As, creating a personalized
Timeline Shapes file. He renamed this (say, BLAH.vss), so
now you can find this file via File, Shapes, My Shapes.
Once this personalized file was created, he edited the
cylindrical interval to hide the dates and center the
Interval Description (horiz and vert). I am not sure what
exactly he did here, but it works.

Thanks again
