Can't remove deleted IMAP messages

Hi. I have Outlook 2007 and I have set up my exchange email which has come up
as IMAP. However I cant delete messages. They show as crossed out but stay in
the Inbox. Help?

Use Edit - Purge from the menu.

Alternatively, you can set it to purge automatically when switching folders.
Tools - Account Settings, double-click the IMAP account, click More
Settings, and click to enable the Purge checkbox.
