While cleaning an Access 2003 database opened in Access 2007, either in Form
or in Table view, the Find and Replace function seems to find thousands of
two-character double apostrophe strings -- that is, [ '' ], and not the
single [ " ] quotes character -- but they're all invisible.
When it searches for that string, Find stops at virtually every record. But
unlike when it finds all other strings and characters, Find won't highlight
or show the double-apostrophe string in either Form or Table view. Because
F&R counts so many thousands of these strings in the status bar display, I'm
not sure if I should hit 'Replace All' or not.
My text delimiter is set to the single-character quotation mark [ " ], but I
wonder if Access is also using the two-character double apostrophe string as
an invisible delimiter?
