I have installed office 2000 on terminal server 2003. I have used the .mst
option. also i have taken off terminal server and installed using the .mst
option and then reinstalled TS 2003. I have also installed it after changing
the user mode to install. but every time I run any office program, I get the
message stateing some default setting will not run on terminal server and
that I need to install using the instructions and tool on the offcei 2000
resource CD.

Hi Bill,

I'm not clear if you're using a custom .MST or the specific one from the Office 2000 Resource Kit for Terminal Server.

Unlike later versions of Office, MS Office 2000 required a specific MS supplied Transform (.MST), TermSrvr.mst, file to install on
Terminal Server.

Hi Bob,
sorry, I have used this termsrvr.mst file to install with, to no avail.
alos I though about downloading it again. once you click the link it takes
me to the microsoft site with a link to download from the ork site. once you
click the link it goes to the office resource site for 2000. there are 2
options. in the first there are a load of different resources but I can't see
the termsrvr.mst file in there. can you advise me please

Hi Bill,

The TermSrv.mst is part of the Orktools.exe download
("Office Resource Kit core tool set - updated April 20, 2000")
from http://microsoft.com/office/orkarchive/2000ddl.htm

There's additional information on working with it on this page
