Can't save a file in Word

When attempting to save a file in any Office 2003 Pro application, the MS
general error message 'send report' to Microsoft is generated. A reply/link
is never returned. Office 2003 Pro has been uninstalled/reinstalled, along
with Office XP Pro. Is there a conflict somewhere.
