I have several Word Perfect options. When you say you "can't save as", what
happens when you try?

I have several word perfect options but when I try to save it It bombs out
and sends an error report to MS.

The WordPerfect converter that comes with Word 2002 and 2003 is
an import-only converter. It cannot export to WordPerfect. But
you can "save as" a Rich Text Format (.rtf) file, which
WordPerfect can open.

I've opened WP files but never tried to save a Word doc as one. If it's not
possible, then why do several WP options appear under Save As?

I don't remember what "save as" options originally come with Word
2002 or 2003. I installed the old WordPerfect converter from
Word 97 a long time ago, so I can still save as a WP file without
a problem.

Let me look again. I haven't been sleeping well so maybe I'm seeing
things................. Nope, there they are again.

(Either that or the drugs I did in the 70's have finally started to kick in.
Whoopie doopie!)

You should SAVE AS WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS (*.doc) format. This
document is quite versatile and can be opened with any windows hosted
wordprocessor package.

I see these Save As options:

WordPerfect 5.0
WordPerfect 5.0 Secondary File
WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS
WordPerfect 5.1 or 5.2 Secondary File
WordPerfect 5.x for Windows

Which one or ones are generating the error?

I tried all the "save as" Word Perfect 5.XX options" and they all bomb out.
The other extensions work such as .RTF, etc..

This did not work for me. How can I obtain a previous version of the
wordperfect converter that allows me to save a word document in wordperfect
format?
