Can't save customized task view in OL 2003

After customizing a task view, I don't see a way to save
it. When I close and reopen Outlook, the customized view
is lost. The view reverts to the default view.

View, Arrange By, Current View, Define to create views to save. That said,
outlook normally saves the changes in a 'one-off' view that displays only on
the current folder.
