Cant save document!! Help

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

Hi

Im writing on a paper, and when I am going to save it,following occurs; " The disc can be full or writing-protected. To resolve it, free more space or check that the file you want to save it on is not writing protected or damaged"

Sorry my bad english,Im norwegian=) When I try to save the file on mye deskbord, documents or other places the same thing happens:/:/

Mac OS X will not allow Word to 'write' to the disk.

That is normally a disk permissions error.

But it can also be a corrupt file.

Try a re-boot of the computer. That often fixes it.

Try running Disk Utility and repairing permissions (then re-boot again).
That may fix it.

If not, try disconnecting your network cable: this may be a network
conflict.

Make sure you apply Service Release 1 from Microsoft:
Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac 12.0.1 Update
