Can't save new documents

Hello,
When I start up a new word document or excel document, then go and try and
save it for the first time, the program hangs. The following technical
information is given in the Application Log:

szAppName : EXCEL.EXE szAppVer : 11.0.8120.0 szModName : hungapp
szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000

Any idea. If I right click on the destop and choose new excel or word
document and then rename the file right away, then open up and make changes,
I can then save the document without any problems.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try repairing Office from Add/Remove programs. If that doesn't work,
un-install, reboot, and re-install.
