Excel won't let me save the work book, say the selected file type does not support multiple books. But i want to save the whole workbook to ensure i don't lose my macros.

what kind of filetype have you selected. If you have chosen "*.csv" for
example only the current active worksheet is saved. You have to choose
'*.xls' as filetype
