Can't see data/formulas in the cells

S

Scott B. Hogle

Hopefully, this will be easy.

I created a Excel file over a year ago and decided to
hide some of the calculations to avoid confusion by the
end user.

When I try to unhide the data, I still cannot see
anything on the spreadsheet.

The sheet/workbook is not protected and I have verified
that the font color is NOT white.

Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance.

It could be custom formats of ;;; which would cause
nothing to display.

It could possibly be conditional formating, although that
seems not likely.

How did you hide the data?

How have you tried to unhide the data?

Have you hidden rows or columns?

Can you see anything in the Formula Bar?

If so, perhaps you laid on a custom format of ;;; for the cells.

Thanks to both of you - you guys are awesome.

It was the ;;; formatting.

The irony is that I learned about that technique on this
newsgroup about a year and a half ago - I guess that's
why I forgot. (It's always easy to forget something that
you just barely knew)

I would have never figured that out on my own.

Thanks again and have a great weekend.

A year and a half??

I'm impressed you could remember that you had even done it<g>
