Can't see graphics on page

My wife has some complex word documents with pictures, text boxes etc. We
have just moved to a new computer (but still running Word 2002 and Windows XP
SP2) and these documents often (but not always) display as blank pages when
called up. All is rectified if viewed in print preview or if 'reveal
formatting' is used. In 'Tools, Option, View' the picture placeholder is
unchecked and drawings is checked as they were on the 'old' machine. I have
also ensured the latest monitor driver is being used.

Any ideas where I might go from here?

You have to go to tools, options and view and check object anchors and
uncheck picture placeholders to fix this... I have messed with this for hours
and finally found it!!

Thanks for that. We actually managed to get around this problem after advice
from elsewhere (can't remember where exactly now). We were led to believe
there was a problem with the hardware acceleration rate to our monitor. This
was set to the maximum value. By turning it down 3 notches all was rectified
- and it doesn't seem to have had any detrimental impact on any other
functions.
Regards!
Dave
