Can't see old calendar entries

We can't seem to see any old calendar entries going beyond three months. We
can see the entries from December 31st and forward but the only things we can
see prior to December 31st are the recurring meetings.
I went into the "Free/Busy" options and changed the publsishing information
to publish "10" months of calendar free/busy information on the server but we
still can't see the individual appointments prior to December 31st.
Do I need to check the box next to "Publish My Free/Busy Information"? If
so then what do I put in the ajacent fields?
