Can't see tables!

I have a query when I open in design mode, shows two tables that it is
using...the query runs and returns info, however when I go to the tables I do
not find the two tables that are in the query. Can anyone help me figure out
how this happens...and where the tables are?

Are the tables hidden?

Go to Tools/Options/View and make sure "hidden objects" is checked.

By the way....I have made sure the show hidden objects is checked in the
options...

I actually figured it out...for anyone that is interested...the tables that
were part of a query...were actually another table and someone went in and
right clicked on each table (in design mode) and changed the alias name.
Very confusing, you can change the name of the table within a query window so
that it looks like it is called another name!...Thanks anyways for your
suggestions.
