Cant select contacts as address book

I have a user who has a local contacts folder with
contacts that they have added. When they try to create a
new message thier contacts folder is not available to
select from. If I go to the properties of the contacts
folder to check the box to "show this folder as an
address book" it is greyed out and will not allow you to
change it. The user has outlook 2003 and we are on an
exchange 2003 server. Any help would be appreciated.

You need to add the Outlook Address Book service to your profile.
Tools>E-mail Accounts>Add a new directory or address book>Next>Additional
Address Books>Outlook Address Book>Next
