A little more information might be helpful. For example, do you connect to
a Microsoft Exchange server via the Exchange transport or are you working
with a POP/IMAP account? If POP/IMAP, are you behind a Linksys cable/dsl
router that lets you share a single IP address between multiple computers?
When you try to send a message with an attachment, do you get any error
messages? Is it safe for us to assume that messages w/out attachments send
fine? Do you use antivirus software that scan POP/SMTP mail?

Yes we are connected to microsoft exchange server, the
problem seems to stem from the user end. When the user
tries to send an attachemnt an error message pops up
saying " Internal Application Error".

Yes the user can send email with out attachments.

I would try the following...

* Does the same behavior happen when starting Outlook in safe mode? (Start
| Run | outlook.exe /safe | OK button)

* If the answer to the above is yes, change the mode of Outlook 2000 to
Internet Mail Only mode and then pull it back to Corporate/Workgroup mode.
This should force a rewrite of key DLL files.
