I'm getting the error 0x800CCC79 and cannot send any email using Outlook
Express 6. (I am able to receive emails.) I have checked all settings (with
help of ISP phone support). Everything is fine on that end. I was told it was
a problem with Outlook. I tried troubleshooting instructions on Microsoft
website but had trouble. I was trying to follow directions for "Damaged Mail
Folders" that states "Search your hard drive for Outbox.dbx and delete this
file." I cannot find this file on my hard drive. I don't even know if this is
the problem, but nothing else is working. I tried the authentication thing I
read about in another post but it didn't work.
This problem started 3 days ago - prior to that, I never had a problem.
Coincidentally, we started using a wireless network 3 days ago, which is why
I called my ISP (roadrunner) about this problem... however, after a 1 1/2
hour conversation with them they assure me it isn't them. Any help is
appreicated.
