Can't send or receive email

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Power PC

This is the second time in one month since I've gotten Entourage 2008 that I've gotten error message 4362 when trying to send an email with attachments. I can't receive messages either. The window suggests I restart Entourage or if this keeps happening, that I may need to verify and rebuild the Entourage database. What's going on?
