for outlook go to Control panel, mail and create another profile. Don't copy
the old one - make a new one. Enter all of the server names etc and see if
it works.

I am not using any antivirus scanner unless it is automatic within Windows
98
which is my operating program. I have a pop3 account through Earthlink.net
and get no errors in Outlook 2002 it just doesn't send or receive---no
progress window---nothing. When I try to send in Outlook Express 6 the
error
is as follows:
"The message could not be sent. You do not have any account configured for
sending email. Please verify your account settings."
The accounts are configured to send and I have rechecked all the settings.
I
just have no idea what to do about this! Thanks....Debbie
:
Are you using an antivirus scanner to scan outgoing mail? If so, which
one?
Does either program work if you disable scanning?
What type of account do you have and are you getting any errors in
Outlook?

Can someone please explain why I cannot send or receive in Outlook 2002
but
receiving works just fine in OE6 however, I cannot send in either
program---it tells me to check my settings which are correct?? The
settings
are the same in both programs, I have updated Outlook 2002 but still
cannot
get Outlook to function. Please be very specific in any solutions to
this
dilemma!! Thanks....Debbie
